This initiative revolves around the creation of an imaginary "garden"—a symbolic space that brings together a community of individuals seeking to process emotions associated with an impending loss. This endeavor represents a process of reconciliation with the notion of death, the acceptance of finality, and an effort to preserve memories and collective references through a form of digital archiving of emotional resonance.
Throughout the development of this initiative, I found myself not only creating an uncertain and unstable emotional environment for those involved but also fostering a sense of empathy, understanding, and solidarity. Despite my own struggles in processing my emotions, I found myself immersed in the personal worlds of people I barely knew. This experience led me to a deeper connection with them, allowing us to share a mutual yet discomforting emotional space—a space of exchange and coexistence.
This initiative is more than just an artistic or conceptual project. It is a legacy, an internal experience that remains untouched by time. It emerged from my need to understand and come to terms with the imminent passing of Μιχάλης (Michalis), a person whose presence was marked by a smile, cynicism, and profound sensitivity. Of all the memories I carry of him, his voice is the most vivid—rough and raw, yet steady, confident, and tender when speaking to me.
For this reason, I chose sound as the medium to represent my emotional "garden." It serves as a tribute to his love for music, to everything he taught me, and to the moments when, even before I sleep, I still hear him softly singing.
